The Laddu That Earns Its Place on the Table
The ragi laddu has been made in Rajasthani homes for generations — not because it was trendy, but because it worked. Dense, slow-releasing energy from finger millet and roasted gram. Warmth from desi ghee. A clean, round sweetness from jaggery. Nothing else needed.
We made ours the same way.
Roasted Ragi flour and sattu form the base — two flours that have complemented each other in Indian cooking long before nutrition labels existed. Desi ghee binds them, the way it always has. Jaggery sweetens, without the refinement. Cashews and almonds are folded through the mix. Cardamom finishes it.
